The  task of the variator and rollers combination is to maintain peak RPM power during acceleration right up to the point where the pulleys become fully extended and run out of gearing. Our Yuminashi designed variator hub and steel back ramp performs the task of maximising drive , giving a powerful wave of acceleration over the entire speed range an increase in power and terminal speed and lowering peak revs to aid engine reliability.
